During the summer season the amphitheaters of Nimes and Arles and the streets of Avignon and Bagnols-sur-Cèze reverberate to the open-air music of opera, rock & blues. The famous Antique Theatre of Orange is a must if a visit to hear a classical concert is part of your holiday plans.

Also in the area is the famous Roman Pont du Gard, certainly worth visiting, if only to sit beneath itís imposing arches and watch the river sweep by.
